VIPER Tools Projects

Updated date
ENVI Plugin 11/13/2008 - 00:42

The ENVI Plugin Project focuses on the original VIPER Tools distribution, a plugin to the ENVI software package which enables Spectral Mixture Analysis and Multiple Endmember Spectral Mixture Analysis.  All code is written in IDL/ENVI.
It provides a set of key analysis tools for creating and managing spectral libraries, selecting optimal endmembers for Spectral Mixture Analysis (SMA), calculating SMA and Multiple Endmember Spectral Mixture Analysis (MESMA) fractions, and post-processing of SMA outputs including terrain correction and shade normalization.

VIPER Tools .NET 12/02/2008 - 23:50

This project focuses on developing a .NET version of VIPER Tools that does not use ENVI, IDL, or any other proprietary software.  The current plan is to develop all tools using C# and targeting .NET framework version 2.0.  Image handling will use the GDAL C# bindings, while linear algebra operations will use MathNet Iridium libraries.  The goal is to produce a code base that will be compatible with Visual C
